We Grow by Helping People in Need
Ako Health Foundation (AHF) is a Ghana-USA-based nonprofit health advocacy organization. Our team comprises health professionals, non-health professionals, medical students, and non-medical students dedicated to advocating for preventive medicine. We focus on addressing lifestyle diseases and chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, stroke, and hypertension.
Why It Matters
What makes it so important
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) reports, chronic NCDs account for 74% of all deaths globally and 45% of all deaths in Ghana. AHF is dedicated to addressing these staggering statistics through public education and advocacy.
